Chasing Circularity

Adidas

Hosted in collaboration with Design London, jdpl created an informative and aesthetically striking exhibition space at Magazine, London. ‘Chasing Circularity’ is a showcase for consumers and media that explores the processes, people and innovations that are driving adidas’ ambition to create a circular future for sportswear and how they are striving to help end plastic waste by creating products that are Made To Be Remade (MTBR).

In an industry-first, adidas by Stella McCartney has united with an EU consortium of 12 pioneering partners to create, share knowledge, test and innovate. Across a three-year timeline, the consortium collated end-of-life textiles, which using pioneering Infinited Fibre technology have been regenerated into a new man-made cellulosic fibre called Infinna™.

The cellulosic fibre Infina is the pinnacle expression of the Made To Be Remade collection – ensuring the garment has an end-of-life solution. The adidas by Stella McCartney Viscose Sportswear Tracksuit, a first of its kind sportswear garment designed in collaboration with an EU Consortium, demonstrates the potential of a circular fashion ecosystem.

The hero installation displays the new FW22 MTBR products as if they are pieces of art. The floating mannequin is an eye-catching centre-piece. Working with transparent and white fixings and materials, keeps the product display inline with the minimalist concept of the space, whilst representing the backstory of the ASMC tracksuit in a meaningful way
