jdpl worked with both adidas and creative agency, Hill+Knowlton Strategies to produce this fun, edgy multi-faceted piece; ‘London’s Fastest’. One of the biggest days in the Capital’s sporting calendar, the show where fast is too slow. Sixteen of London’s quickest ballers faced off in a series of head-to-heads to decide who was to be crowned London’s Fastest. Sixteen competed but only two were crowned the winners.

The tone and content of the one-day head-to-head speed tournament carried a satirical mid-noughties BBC gameshow feel. The deliberately Lo-fi nature oozes late 90s, early 00s sports-themed TV shows. Think Grandstand meets World’s Strongest Man! 90s broadcast references run’s through wardrobe, design, overlays and camerawork too, everything is slightly more naff than you’d expect of a national television programme, but intentionally so.
